Job Title: Barista/Bar Attender
Location: Zimkaffee Cafe & Wine Bar, Torgasse 5, 8001 Zurich, Switzerland
Job Overview:
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Baristas/Bar Attender. The role involves preparing and serving high-quality specialty coffee beverages, assisting with general tasks, and ensuring a welcoming environment for customers. You will also support other operational areas like cleaning and dishwashing as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Barista Duties: Prepare coffee and other beverages to the highest standard.
- Wine Service: Serve wine to customers, ensuring correct handling and presentation. A basic knowledge of different wines is required.
- Customer Service: Engage with customers in a friendly and helpful manner, taking orders and ensuring satisfaction.
- Dishwashing & Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness in the coffee bar and surrounding areas, including dishwashing and general cleaning tasks.
- Cashiering: Handle transactions and maintain accurate records.
- All-Rounder Tasks: Assist in other areas of the café as needed, including serving food, managing the till, and cleaning up after shifts.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a café or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment where work prioritization and regular re-prioritization is mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Flexibility to take on different roles (cleaning, dishwashing, cashiering, etc.).
- Good communication skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Fluency in German is required to communicate effectively with customers.
Working Hours:
- Saturday: 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM
- Sunday: 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
